Bert J. Tenney 1925-2003 Obituary
Bert Junior Tenney, 78, of HC 36, Box 332, Tallmansville, died Friday, June 27, 2003, at his home.
He was born Jan. 11, 1925, at Ten Mile, a son of the late Bert Tenney Sr. and Shirley Lee Hollen Tenney.
On Feb. 20, 1947, he married Madeline Goodwin Tenney, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Mary Austin, Morgantown, and Tammy Tenney and husband, Bruce, Yorktown, Va.; one son, Michael Tenney and wife, Diann, Ten Mile; one daughter-in-law, Donna Gayle Tenney, Smicksburg, Pa.; two sisters, Dana Tallman, Mt. Union, and Doris Matthews, Buckhannon; three grandsons, Michael Tenney II, Clarksburg, Burton Tenney, Ten Mile, and Aaron Tenney, Yorktown, Pa.; and two granddaughters, Rebecca Tenney and Melanie Tenney, both of Yorktown, Va.
He was preceded in death by one son, Alfred Tenney; and one sister, Mildred Valanti.
He was a heavy equipment operator and a Methodist by faith.
Friends were received at Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home Sunday. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. today in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Bradley Tenney officiating. Interment followed in Ten Mile Baptist Cemetery at Ten Mile. From 30 Jun 2003.
