Betty Hannah Scott, 70, a resident of Junior, passed away Tuesday morning, July 16, 2002, at her home.

She was born March 14, 1932, at Valley Head, the daughter of the late Lina Hogan Brady and the late William Franklin Hannah. She was married to Gerald Lee Scott, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by one son, Gerald Stephen Scott, Beverly; two daughters, Debbie Frame and husband, Mike, Gassaway, and Melonie Reisinger and husband, George, Sparta, N.J.; two brothers, Robert Hannah and wife, Peg, Kerriville, Texas, and Troy Swecker and wife, Maxine, Reedsville; two sisters, Virginia Kidwell, Charlotte, N.C., and Mildred Arnold and husband, Jim, Lakeland, Fla.; three grandchildren, Missy Evans and husband, Bryan, and Greg Scott, all of Beverly, and LeMae Frame, Gassaway; one great-granddaughter, Korri Evans; and several nieces and nephews.

Also preceding her in death were three sisters, Erma Ashby, Ruth Reger and Meda Phillips; and one brother, Edwin Swecker.

Mrs. Scott attended the Westside United Methodist Church in Belington and was a lifetime member of the Junior PTA. She was a member of the Junior Home Service Club for many years.

Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Rose McCartney officiating. Interment will follow in the K of P Cemetery near Junior. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of choice.
