Betty J. Williams, 72, of Newton Falls, passed away at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, March 13, 2010, in Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital.

Betty was born April 6, 1937, in Cassity, W.Va., the daughter of Foster G. and Mabel M. Rader Williams.

Formerly of West Virginia, she had been an area resident for 55 years. Betty was employed as a nursing assistant at St. Joseph Hospital for 22 years.

She was a member of the Church of The Nazarene of Newton Falls and a member of NF Senior Citizens Elderly Affairs.

Cherished memories of Betty will be carried on by her sons, Roger (Nina) Scott of Leavittsburg; Edward (Sheila) Scott of Havelock, N.C., and Zachary (Ronda) Scott of Warren; daughters, Ginger (Delmas) Jewell of Newton Falls and Colleen (John Nelson) Kyer of Ravenna; brothers, Marshall (Nancy) Williams of Mill Creek, W.Va., Foster (Sue) Williams of Bellington, W.Va. and John (Margie) Williams of Bellington, W.Va.; sisters Maryn (Don) Shaw of Mill Creek, W.Va., and Rachell (Bill) Lane of Bellington, W.Va.; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 30 nieces and nephews; and many cousins.

Preceding Betty were her parents; son Donald Scott; brothers, Arnold, Ernie, Dana, Carroll, Jerry (Carp) Williams; and sisters, Thelma Beck and Norma Bohon.

Friends may call 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Borowski Memorial Home, where a service will follow at 2 p.m.

Burial will be in Newton Township Cemetery.
