Betty L. Shoulders Johnson, 69, of Webster Springs, died Thursday, Sept. 5, 2002, at 5:55 a.m. in Davis Memorial Hospital.

She was born Feb. 2, 1933, at Parcoal, a daughter of the late Gennis G. Shoulders Sr. and the late Edith Marie Cool Shoulders.

Also preceding her in death were one brother, Wayne Franklin Delano Shoulders; and one sister, Frances Shoulders Bender.

She is survived by one son, Ronald L. Stout of Webster County; one grandson, Kevin Stout of Brighton, England; one brother, Gennis G. Shoulders Jr., Elkins; five sisters, Phyllis Byrd, Pope, Miss., Willa Hamrick, Elkins, Nancy Dawson, Highspire, Pa., Helen Beaver, Waco, Texas, and Rhonda Mott, Beverly; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Johnson attended the schools of Randolph County and was a Protestant by faith.

At the request of the deceased, her remains were donated to the Human Gift Registry West Virginia University Hospital. The family requests expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the Randolph County Humane Society. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Mill Creek Memorial Mission Church in Mill Creek with the Rev. Frank Long officiating. This announcement is a courtesy of the F.E.
