Betty Lou Branson, 81, of Valley Head, WV entered into eternal rest early afternoon Sunday February 20, 2011 at home surrounded by family. She was born Monday September 2, 1929 in Oxford, OH a daughter of the late Daniel “Tony” and Helen Marie Febrach Weigel. She had lived in Valley Head for about thirty-three years before moving to Piqua, OH. She lived there for about ten years before returning to WV. She was a factory worker for several years at Sefton in Piqua,OH then she worked at the Valley Head Elementary School and the Beverly Grade School for several years. Betty was Protestant by faith. She enjoyed crocheting and reading. She loved taking care of her pet dog “Nippy”. On Sunday September 1, 1946 in Alena, OH she married the love of her life Clarence Marvin Branson who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers: Dan, Herb and George Weigel. Left to cherish her memories are one daughter: Deborah Marshall of Valley Head, WV; one son: Marvin Douglas Branson and wife Shirley of Piqua, OH; one granddaughter: Stephanie Fuller and husband Brian of Piqua, OH; two grandsons: Bradley Branson and companion Tosha Moore of Valley Head, WV and Jamie Branson and wife Janie of Piqua, OH; six very special great-granddaughters: Brooke Allen, Chelsea Branson, Brianna Fuller, Riley, Regan and Dakota Branson; two very special great-grandsons: Ramsey and Austin Branson; one sister: Shirley Stahl of Piqua, OH; one brother: John Weigel and wife Marlene of Piqua, OH and several nieces and nephews. To all that were priviledged to know her , Betty was a very caring and special lady who will be deeply missed. The family will have a private service.
