Betty Lou Wilson, 70, a resident of 6 Eagle St., Buckhannon, died at 1:42 a.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2002, at United Hospital Center in Clarksburg.

She was born Sept. 30, 1931, in Upshur County, the daughter of the late Paul and Vera “Shine” Linger Reed.

On Nov. 26, 1950, she was married to Lewis Joe Wilson, who preceded her in death on Aug. 4, 2000.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Bill (Debbie) Groggs, Buckhannon; two sons, Gary Roger Wilson and wife, Nancy, Buckhannon, and Joe Michael Wilson and wife, Frances, Coalton; one brother, Harold Reed, Greensburg, Ind.; six granddaughters, Roxy Wilson, Volga, Erica Groggs, Heather Groggs and Lori Hull, all of Buckhannon, Beth Rickman, Baton Rouge, La., and Elizabeth Ann Wilson, Coalton; three grandsons, Joey Carpenter, Philippi, and Nick Wilson and Chris Wilson, both of Coalton; and one great-grandson, Dillon Carpenter, Philippi.

Mrs. Wilson was a seamstress and worked for Reidbord Brothers. She attended Light Chapel Church and was a member of the Fishing Camp Community Educational Outreach Service.

Friends will be received from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the Poling-st. Clair Funeral Home where funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Mark Davis, the Rev. Ralph Miller and the Rev. Tim Turner will officiate and interment will follow in the Heavner Cemetery at Buckhannon
