Another carving that is a little more difficult
but its still a good project
The reason its more difficult is the hanging ears, the carver will need to be careful they don’t break off
Carving the ear’s outside detail before the inside detail will help with finishing the carving without the ears breaking
The outside of the ears have more detail than the inside of the ears
Other than rounding the front of the ears, as they go around to the inside is the only real detail needed, you can leave the inside flat
W Ben Hunt created the Whittlin Jim and Lone Eagle names, and published articles under all three name – Ben Hunt wrote 2-4 articles per month for Boy’s Life, and I think he created the Whittlin Jim and Lone Eagle to make is seem like there were multiple authors writing the articles
