Brandon Michael Heavner, age 36 years, a resident of Harman, passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2012. He was born December 18, 1975, a son of Norma Cooper and Harold Thompson of Harman and Steve Heavner of Petersburg, WV. Surviving are two sons, Sevren Heavner, St. Albans, WV and Braylon Heavner of Harman, one daughter, Jessie Heavner of Harman, his companion, Heather Ratliff, two brothers, Ryan Heavner, Maysville, WV and Joe Heavner of Richmond Hill, GA. Grandparents surviving include Velma Cooper of Harman and Orpha Staffer, Petersburg, WV, several aunts, uncles, three special cousins, Tisha Mallow, Leslie Bonner and Zeb Dodd all of Harman and three great aunts, Ruth, Josephine and Joanne also survive. Also preceding him in death were his grandfathers, Gale “Merk” Cooper and Harry Heavner.

Brandon was a beautiful person who always had a smile on his face. He loved his friends and family and loved to camp, 4-wheeling, hunting, movies and music, especially Jim Morrison. He loved running wide-open down a dirt road with anything that had wheels on it. He loved his children so much and was loved by all who knew him and will be forever missed.

Friends may call from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday, June 21, 2012 at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. On Friday, June 22nd, he will be moved to the Harman Presbyterian Church where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM. Pastor Grey Hinkle will officiate and interment will follow in the Cooper Cemetery near Harman. The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Brandon Michael Heavner.
