Bruce Rolland Wells, 65, of Elkins, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2020, in the Davis Memorial Hospital in Elkins.

He was born in Fort Dix, New Jersey, on April 30, 1955, the oldest son of the late Bruce Grayson and Frances Rolland Wells.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Tammy McDaniels Wells, whom he married on Oct. 11, 1980; two sons, Chad Rolland Wells and his companion Michalla Metzner of Elkins, and Corey Grayson Wells and his wife Catherine of Elkins; two grandchildren, Christopher Wells, who was his best buddy and the apple of his eye, and Ginger Wells; one stepgranddaughter, Cadence Staub; two brothers, Mark E. Wells of Clarksburg, and Timothy G. Wells and his companion Lauren Belcastro of Bridgeport; one sister, Jayne Ann Weekley of Clarksburg; his sister-in-law, Sandy Beckett of Ohio; six nieces and nephews, Tyler Wells and his wife Skyler, Madison Wells, Kenneth Weekley II and companion Kristine Christian, Jennifer Napier, Emma Farley and Jacey Farley; and two great nephews, Kenneth Weekley III and Parker Wells.

Bruce was a 1973 graduate of Washington Irving High School and was a sales representative for Pepsi Bottling Co. having retired in October. He was an avid golfer and a member of the Elkins Country Club and Elkins Lodge No. 1135 B.P.O. Elks.

Most of all Bruce loved his wife, sons and grandchildren, and will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

In keeping with his wishes, Bruce will be cremated.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, Dec. 14, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Harry Jenkins officiating.
