Burl R. Harper, 73, of Twinsburg, OH died Oct. 28 at Cleveland Clinical Hospital, after five and a half months waiting for a heart transplant.

He was born June 15, 1928, in Dry Fork, a son of the late John R. Harper and Elizabeth Mauzy Harper.

Survivors include wife, Fran of Twinsburg; a daughter, Patti (and Thomas) Homes of Solon, OH; a son, David (and Diane) Harper of Willoughby, OH; and grandchildren Thomas (and Michelle) Homes of Solon, OH; three sisters, Mary (and Don) Dysle of Canton, OH, Alta (and David) Jenkins and a son Mark of Akron, OH; Martha Alice Swann and son Joseph Harper of Davis; a niece, Beverly (and Mark) Kuster, Massillon, OH; a sister-in-law, Adella Harper, Gadsden, AL; son Harold (and LaVern) Harper; daughter, Kitta (and Joey) Michaels of Gadsden, Al; and nephews, Richard and Ronald Lantz of Oakland, and niece, Donna (and Willie) Duley of Independence.

Mr. Harper, graduated from East High School, Akron, in 1946, and retired from T.R.W. of Cleveland, with 35 years of service.

A fuenral mass was held Nov. 1, at Church of the Resurrection in Solon. Interment followed in All Souls Cemetery.
