Burlin Zickefoose, 68, of 4 Martin St., Buckhannon, died at 3:25 p.m. Friday, April 11, 2003, at his home in Buckhannon, under St. Joseph’s Hospice Care.

He was born May 7, 1934, in Adrian, a son of the late Burlin Chelsey Zickefoose and Helen Marguerite Perry Zickefoose Richard.

On March 1, 1957, he married Marcia Brown Zickefoose, who survives in Buckhannon.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Kim and husband, Ray Sines, and Shari and husband, Glen Smith, all of Buckhannon; three sons, Victor and wife, Linda Zickefoose, Buckhannon, Shane and wife, Heather Zickefoose, Beckley, and Chris and wife, Tracy Zickefoose, Buckhannon; three granddaughters and five grandsons.

He was preceded in death by one grandson, Jeremy Sines; his stepfather, Gilbert Richard; and his maternal grandparents, Henry and Stella Perry.

He was a lineman for Better Vision Cable Co. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War with the 11th Airborne. He was a Methodist by faith.

Friends were received at Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home Sunday. Funeral services were held in the funeral home chapel today at 11 a.m. with Pastor Ed Lowther officiating. Interment followed in Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon. The Buckhannon Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3663 and Frank B. Bartlett Post 7 American Legion conducted graveside rites.
