C. Fred Weese 1915-2002 Obituary

C. Fred Weese, 86, a resident of 55 Pleasant Ave., Elkins, passed away Sunday, June 30, 2002, at his home following an extended illness.

He was born Sept. 25, 1915, in Elkins, a son of the late William and Margaret “Maggie” McArdle Weese.

He was twice married. First to Twila Kerns Weese, who preceded him in death in 1966. In 1967, he was married to Audrey M. Miller Ketterman Weese, who preceded him in death in 1994.

He is survived by one son, James Weese and wife, Nila, Lansing, Mich.; three stepsons, James W. Ketterman and wife, Sharone, Eatonville, Wash., Gerald L. Ketterman, Grant Town, and Jeffrey A. Ketterman of Sikeston, Mo.; one daughter, Mrs. John (Judith) Schuh, Lake Dallas, Texas.; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Anthony (Julie) Ketterman Graham of St. Albans; one brother, Leo Bert Weese, Elkins; three sisters, Iva Mae Thayer and Bessie G. Moore, both of Bedford, Texas, and Mrs. Allen (Jessie) Mossman of Grapevine, Texas; 18 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Also preceding him in death were two brothers, one half brother and one half sister.

Mr. Weese was employed at Talbott Paint and Glass from 1935 until 1980, where he installed automobile glass. He was a member of the First Baptist Church from 1945 until 1966 and a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church since 1967. He enjoyed playing pool at the Randolph County Senior Center and enjoyed framing pictures and mirrors, wooden craft items and flower gardening.

Friends may call from 6:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. Monday. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Maplewood Cemetery with the Rev. Leon Hevener and the Rev. Donald Lockhart officiating. Interment will follow. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Otterbein United Methodist Church with the Rev. Leon Hevener and the Rev. Donald Lockhart officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Otterbein United Methodist Church, 1100 S.
