Mr. Carl See Pudder, age 68, a resident of the Junior Community, departed this life Saturday morning, September 21, 2019 at his home. Although he had been in declining health, death was unexpected.

He was born August 18, 1951 at Elkins, a son of the late Troy Lahman and Norma Lillian Corley Pudder. On June 23, 1973, at Junior, WV he was united in marriage to the former Gloria June Pharis, who survives at their home.

In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters: Carla J. Bailey and companion John E. Jensen of Belington, and Charity J. Kittle and husband Joey of Belington, his twin brother Darl L. Pudder and brother, Troy “Chuck” Pudder and wife Joyce all of Harding. Also surviving are eight grandchildren; Richard Alex Bailey, Skylar, Zachary, and Andrea Jensen; Lacie, Cadie, Joseph and Jasmyn Kittle, and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one sister, Norma Jane Ash, brother-in-law Dominick Ash, whom he thought of as a brother, and his mother and father-in-law, Bill and Janis Pharis.

Carl attended the schools of Coalton. He was employed as a coal miner most of his adult life, working at various coal mines which included Bethlehem Coal, Carter-Roag, and lastly Federal Coal Company # II from which he had retired. He was a member of The United Mine Workers of America District #31 and a Protestant by faith. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Friends will be received from the Talbott Funeral Home 56 N. Brandenburg Street in Belington on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 from 5 – 9 pm and again on Thursday, September 26, 2019 from 8 am – 11 am the funeral hour when final rites will be conducted from the funeral home chapel with Ronnie Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Trinity Cemetery near Belington. The family ask in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to American Lung Association at 1-800-LUNGUSA or at www. lung.org.
