Carlton West 1921-2001 Obituary
Carlton Otis West, 79, of Peoria, AZ, died Oct. 23, at Life Care Center Nursing Home.
He was born Dec. 31, 1921 in Parsons, a son of the late Carl and Anna West. Death was attributed to a stroke. On Oct. 14, 1948 in Reno, NV he was married to the former Glyds Harlson Brisese who preceded him in death in 1996.
Surviving is a step daughter Phyllis Sanders of Peoria, AZ; four sisters, Mrs. Ervin (Joan) Cerveny, Ms. Pauline Arnold of Riverview, MI, Mrs. Ida Mae Frausto of Fort Worth, TX, Mrs. Charles (Carlanna) Lieb of MI; several step grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Also preceding him in death were a step son, Keith Eugene Briese and one brother, Milton Marion West.
He attended school in Parsons and was a veteran of World War II and was in the US Navy. He was a painter and a member of the National Rifle Association.
His request was to be cremated. The Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary in Glendale, AZ is in charge of the arrangements.
