CAROL JANICE KNOTTS POSTER, age 53 years, a resident of Parsons, WV departed this life Thursday afternoon, January 14, 2010 at the United Hospital Center at Clarksburg. Death was due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
She was born Saturday, February 25, 1956 at Parsons, WV, a daughter of the late Denver A. Knotts, who preceded her in death Oct. 17, 1989 and Leota A. Plum Knotts Parsons, who survives at Parsons, WV.
Also surviving are two daughters, Susan Ann Poling of Eagleville, Tenn, Melissa Grace Poling of Parsons; four brothers, Mack and Danny Knotts of Parsons, Ricky Knotts of Preston County, Eddie Knotts of Sugarland; six sisters, her twin sister, Cheryll Maxwell of Parsons, Linda Falls, Wanda Bohon, Rhonda Cavalier and Gloria “Cookie” Frame, all of St. George, Janet Nestor of Mackeyville, one granddaughter, Charlie Grace Hudgens and several nieces and nephews.
She attended Parsons High School. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant working for the former Tucker County Hospital and Cortland Acres Nursing Home. She was a former employee of the Randolph County Senior Center. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Parsons.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons on Tuesday from 4 to 8 PM. On Wednesday, January 20th, 2010, Carol will be moved to the First United Methodist Church where friends may call from 11:30 AM until 12:30 PM the funeral hour. The Rev. Jeff Anderson will officiate and interment will follow at the Bonnifield Cemetery, St. George, WV.
