Caroline Elizabeth Ginger, 94, a resident of Baltimore, Md., passed away Sunday morning, Dec. 1, 2002, in Harbor Hospital in Baltimore, Md.

She was born June 27, 1908, at Marlinton, a daughter of the late John M. and Lucy Ellen Pritt Jackson.

She was married to Roy W. Ginger, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by three sons, Dempsey W. Ginger of Elkins, Randolph L. Ginger of Belington, and Franklin D. “Frank” Ginger of Elkton, Md.; and four daughters, Mary M. McMannes of Mather, Pa., Ellen Jean Buckheit of Baltimore, Md., Betty E. Timmons of Glen Burnie, Md., and Susan L. Finch of Yuma, Ariz. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Also preceding her in death were one son, Robert L. Ginger; one daughter, Lillian Mae Ginger; three brothers, Paul and Norman Jackson and John Blackburn; and one sister, Martha Brock.

Mrs. Ginger was retired from Davis Memorial Hospital. She was awarded a Gold Star from the United States Government for having lost a son in the Korean War. She attended the former Evangelical United Brethren Church of Elkins.

Friends will be received at Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins Wednesday from noon until 2 p.m., the funeral hour. Rev. Donald L. Lockhart will officiate and interment will follow in the Elkins Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either the American Heart Assoc., PO Box 11062, Charleston, W.Va. 25339 or the American Diabetes Assoc., PO Box 1115, Dunbar, W.Va. 25064 in memory of Mrs. Ginger. The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Caroline Elizabeth Ginger.
