Carrie Lanier Brittain 1902-2002 Obituary

Carrie Lanier Brittain, 100, of Asheboro, N.C., went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, Oct. 27, 2002. She was a native of Randolph County.

She was the daughter of Virginia Lanier and John Trueblood Brittain.

After teaching in North Carolina schools, she was a librarian at Davis & Elkins College in Elkins, and retired in 1970 as librarian at Davidson College in Davidson, N.C.

Miss Brittain is survived by several nieces and great-nieces and great-nephews.

A service of Witness to the Resurrection will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Asheboro, N.C., at 11 a.m. Thursday, conducted by her minister, the Rev. Russell Ward and a friend in Asheboro, N.C., Mr. Gene Bumgarner and the Rev. William A. Jester of Roanoke, Va.
