CECIL DOUGLAS “DOUG” BILLER, age 52 years, a resident of Kerens, WV departed this life late Thursday evening, March 4, 2010 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital at Morgantown, WV as a result of injuries sustained in a fall on Wednesday at the Kerens Post Office.

He was born Thursday, November 28, 1957 at Elkins, WV a son of the late C. Jack Biller and Wilma Louise Canfield Biller. On June 30, 1978 at Jimtown, WV he was married to the former Linda Sue Harlan who survives. Also surviving are one son, James Douglas Biller, Kerens; one daughter, Melissa Biller and fiancé Chris Throckmorton, Morgantown; two brothers, Lloyd Wayne Biller and wife Patty, VA; Craig Alan Biller and wife Brenda, TX; two sisters, Mildred Louise “Milly” Biller, Belington; Dolores Jean Crossman and husband Ellis, Kerens, seventeen nephews, eighteen nieces and forty six great nieces and nephews and a special niece, Tina Biller Dobbins, SC.

He attended the elementary school at Kerens and was a graduate of Elkins High School with the Class of 1977. He was a veteran of the United States Army, was a life member of the Leading Creek Volunteer Fire Department, was a member of the Mercy Chapel United Methodist Church at Montrose and was a member of the Bricklayers & Allied Craft workers Union. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved four-wheeling, and was always a community helper.

The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins from 2 to 4 and 5 to 8 PM, Monday. The casket will remain closed. Final Rites will be conducted at the funeral home chapel, Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at 12:30 PM. Pastor Charles L. Stevens will officiate and interment will follow at the Mountain State Memorial Gardens at Gilman, WV where the H. W. Daniel’s Post # 29, American Legion will present the American Flag. He will be honored with a fireman’s funeral procession.
