CHARLDINE LEA MARCO, age 78 years, went home to the Lord on Thursday evening, August 12, 2010 at her home. She had been in declining health.

She was born Tuesday, February 2, 1932 at Kerens, WV, the only child of the late John Hubbard and Audrey Collett Hubbard. On Sept. 20,1947 at Monterey, VA, she was married to William R. Marco, who survives. They have celebrated sixty three years of marriage.

Also surviving are two daughters, Lois Matlick and husband Gerold and Bernadine McDonald and husband Steve of Parsons; four grandchildren, Michael Matlick and wife Whitney of Parsons, Dana Matlick and husband Steve Mahanes of Elkins, Stevie McDonald and wife Angie, Jamie Plumley and husband Jason of Parsons; five great grandchildren, Lyndsay Hart Strawder and husband Adam of Fort Lewis, Wash., Hunter Mahanes of Elkins, William McDonald, Lillyan and Ariona Plumley of Parsons.

Lea was affectionately known as G-g by her great grandchildren. She was a homemaker, she loved to work crossword puzzles and was an avid reader. She was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Women’s Guild and an active member of Our Lady of Mercy Mission Church prior to her illness.

A Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church at Parsons on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at 1 PM. The Rev. Father Timothy Grassi will preside. Interment will follow at the St. Vincent Catholic Cemetery at Kingsville, WV. The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of contributions to; Mountain Hospice, Belington or Our Lady of Mercy Missions Church, Parsons.
