CHARLENE LEAH CONLEY Charlene Leah Conley, 75, of Belmont, W.Va., died Sunday, May 23, in the Marietta Memorial Hospital, Marietta, Oh. She was born September 25, 1934, near Philippi, a daughter of the late Martin Holsberry Harris and the late Edythe Veralee (Hershman) Harris – Poling. Her husband, Francis William Conley, preceded her in death. Survivors include, a son, Gary Dale Clayton, Vero Beach, Fla.; a daughter, Pamela Darlene Ferrell, Charleston; one sister, Martha Alice Poling, St. Marys; two grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, E. Joan Shaw and Kathern Imogene Nestor; by one brother, Franklin D. Harris, by one nephew, Wesley E. Nestor and by her step-father, Cletis Myers Poling. Mrs. Conley was a homemaker. She was a former secretary and a Licensed Practical Nurse and had been employed in several nursing homes in the Fairmont area. She was Roman Catholic by faith. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, May 28, at the Central Chapel Cemetery. The Rev. Dot Stewart will officiate. The family requests memorials in the form of contributions to the Central Chapel Cemetery fund. The Stemple & Forman Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
