Charles Michael Haymond, 60, a former resident of Elkins, and a resident of Amelia, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2002, at his home.

He was born Sept. 7, 1942, in Elkins, a son of the late Stanley C. and Kathleen Sinsel Haymond.

On April 16, 1973, he was married to the former Linda Harris, who survives in Amelia, Ohio.

Also surviving are one daughter, Tammy Haymond, Amelia, Ohio; one stepson, Chuck McFarland, Amelia, Ohio; two grandchildren, three brothers, Allen Haymond, Moscow, Ohio, Dennis Haymond, Beverly, and Henry “Chris Haymond, Apple Grove; and one sister, Myra Shreve of Beverly.

Also preceding him in death were one brother, Wayne H. Haymond; and one sister, Rachel Haymond Fitzwater.

Mr. Haymond attended the schools of Randolph County and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was employed as a construction worker in Ohio for the past 28 years.

Friends may call and a memorial service will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday at E.C. Nurre Funeral Home, 177 West Main St., Amelia, Ohio. Cremation will take place following the service. This announcement is a courtesy of Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins.
