Charles W. Pritt, 81, a resident of Kerens for 20 years and a patient in Nella’s Nursing Home for the past 4 1/2 years, died Thursday afternoon, Feb. 14, 2002, in St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon.

He was born April 2, 1920, at Mill Creek, a son of the late Melvin William and Missoura Martin Pritt. He was twice married, first to Minnie Mae McCune Pritt, who preceded him in death, and later to Jetta Mae Taylor Pritt, who survives in Elkins.

He is also survived by one daughter, Evelyn Ann Gregory of Elkins; two brothers, Arlen Pritt, Elkins, and Lilbert Pritt, Junior; one sister, Anna Burnside, Dailey; and six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Zona Shiflett and Buella Howell, and six infant brothers and sisters.

Mr. Pritt attended the schools of Randolph County and was employed by the West Virginia Department of Highways at the time of his retirement. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Funeral Arrangements: Friends may call Monday from noon until 2 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints near Beverly. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday from the church with Bishop Lynn Muhlestein officiating. Interment will follow in the Wamsley Cemetery near Valley Bend.
