Christina Lynn Hinchman, age 50, a resident of Elkins entered into eternal rest Friday, February 3, 2012, at the Hospice Care Center in Elkins surrounded by her family. Christina was born on February 19, 1961, at Elkins, a daughter of the late Ralph Rohr and Sandra Sampson. She was married on August 16, 1988, in Bowden, to Jack Hinchman who survives. Left to cherish Christina’s memory is her daughter Shannon Hammonds of Elkins; three grandchildren, Chelsa, Karra, and Shyann Hammonds; one brother, Shane Rohr and wife Heather of Elkins; six sisters, Melissa “Missy” Anello, Melinda Taylor and husband Leroy, Cindy Burkey and husband Mark, Mary Johnson and husband Donald, Susan Moats and husband Buck, and Linda Parks, all of Elkins; sisters-in-law Dortha and husband Clettus Summerfield, Betty and husband Donnie Austin and Debbie and husband Kenny Harris; brothers-in-law, Donnie and wife Betty Hinchman, Robert and wife Betty Hinchman, and Richard and wife Nellie Hinchman; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding Christina in death besides her parents were brothers Steven Rohr, Edward Rohr and Ralph Raymond Rohr Jr., sister-in-law Shirley Wooddell, brother-in-law Bud Hinchman, mother and father-in-law Marie and Oney Hinchman, and her grandmother Mamie Sampson Eashbaugh, with whom she made her home for a while. Christina attended the schools of Randolph County and was a nurse for 27 years, employed at the Memorial General Hospital and the Davis Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed Nascar races, flowers, camping and fishing, and she adored her grandchildren. Visitation will be held at the Randolph Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Valley Bend on Tuesday, February 7, 2012, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, February 7, 2012, at 8:00 p.m., with the Reverend Terry Burgess officiating. In honoring Mrs. Hinchman’s wishes, cremation will follow.
