Christopher Samuel Kisner, age 39 years, a resident of Leesburg, FL, went on to be with his

Savior on October 16, 2012 after a lifelong battle with diabetes. He was born in Elkins, WV on February 28, 1973. He graduated from Elkins High School in 1991 and attended Fairmont State College from 1991 until 1993. Christopher was very active in sports and in his church as a youth. He excelled in track and field, soccer and was an All-star in basketball at the Elkins Y.M.C.A. He continued to play soccer through high school and earned 2nd Team All-state at Elkins High School in 1989. He was a member of Hart Chapel Church where he sang in the choir. Christopher was an electrician for many years and was a member of Electrician’s Union Local #26 in Manassas, VA. He was a true outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He enjoyed painting, cooking, wood-etching, NASCAR and was a huge WVU fan.

Christopher is survived by his father, Samuel Roy Kisner, his mother, Barbara Jean Nash, his step-mother, Nancy Burr Kisner and his step-brother, Christopher Ian White. Also surviving are two sons, Wayne Dewitt Triplett and Alexander Christopher Kisner, one daughter, Autumn Elizabeth Kisner, and a nephew, Parker James Higham White. His grandfather, James Russell Fletcher, his grandmother, Beverly Patton and several loving aunts, uncles, cousins and a special friend, Bailey Morgan Bishop, also survive. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Fred C. Nash and two grandmothers, Eleanor Kisner Fletcher and Eleanor Breese.

Christopher’s wish to be cremated was honored. Friends may call from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM Sunday, November 4, 2012 at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M Sunday with Rev. Ron Phillips officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation at JDRF.org or to JDRF, 26 Broadway, 14th Floor, New York, NY, 10004 in memory of Christopher.
