Cinderella Davidson, 93, of Route 3, Box 219, Buckhannon, died Monday, April 7, 2003, in St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon.

She was born July 30, 1909, in Braxton County, a daughter of the late Ralph W. and Hallie Shock Teter.

On May 15, 1933, she married W.C. “Jake” Davidson, who preceded her in death on Sept. 7, 1983.

Surviving are two sons, John Edward Davidson and wife, Betty Jo, Buckhannon, and Kenny Davidson and wife, Charlotte, Buckhannon; two daughters, Mary Ellen Davidson and Hallie Hurst and husband, Jim, all of Buckhannon; one sister, Katherine Thacker and husband, Jim, Charleston; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one son, Billy Jake Davidson; two brothers, Dice Teter and Robert Teter; and one sister, Mary Bennett.

She was a school teacher for Upshur County Board of Education. She was a life member of Aletha Chapter 82, Rock Cave Order Eastern Star, and a member of Alpha Delta Kappa Teachers Sorority.

She graduated from Upshur County High School in 1929 and graduated from West Virginia Wesleyan College in 1964 at the age of 56. She taught for 19 years at Gaines, Tallmansville and Hampton schools.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Friends will be received at Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home Thursday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. On Friday she will be moved to First Baptist Church, where she will lie in state from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., the funeral hour, with the Rev. Cliff Sutherland officiating.

Interment will follow in Arlington Community Cemetery. Aletha Chapter 82 Rock Cave Chapter Order Eastern Star will hold memorial services at 7 p.m. Thursday. From 9 Apr 2003.
