OBITUARY: CLAUD R. BARGERON Claud Rudolph Bargeron, 82, of River Road, Junior, died Saturday, September 11, 2010, in the Hospice Care Corp. Regional Inpatient Facility, at Elkins, following an extended illness. He was born August 8, 1928, at Augusta, Georgia, a son of the late William Lovett Bargeron Sr. and the late Tula (Ferrell) Bargeron. On May 5, 1982, he was married the former Nancy Jean (Hillyard) Moore, who survives at their home at Junior. Also surviving are one daughter, Molly Leora Glendenning and husband, Stephen, Junior; one son, Jeff Moore, Junior; six grandchildren, Lesley A. Miller, Martin Thomas Moore, Jeffrey Mark Moore, Michael David Moore, Marissa Grace Bevins and Homer Jacob Bevins; four great grandchildren, Maddison Louise Moore, Audrey Elaine Moore, Russell Mark Moore and David Calder Miller. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Shelby Lea Bevins; by a sister, Hazel Bargeron Hubbard; by a brother, William Lovett Bargeron Jr. and by a grandson, Andrew David Glendenning. Mr. Bargeron was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. with 30 years of active duty and reserve service. He retired as a “Road Designer and Surveyor” for the U. S. Forest Service. He was a life member of Laurel Mountain Post #410, V.F. W. a member of American Legion Post #96, at Belington the 40 and eight at Elkins. He was a member of Belington Lodge #125, A.F. & A.M., a 32nd Degree K.C.C.H. member of the Scottish Rite, Clarksburg and Wheeling Bodies and Osiris Shrine at Wheeling. He was a Baptist by faith. Grave Side funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, September 14, at the Trinity Cemetery where military rites will be conferred by members of Belington Post #96 and Barbour Post #44, American Legion and the Marine Corps Reserve. Masonic rites will be conferred by Belington Lodge #125, A.F. & A.M. There will be no public visitation. The family requests memorials in the form of donations to the Hosice Care Corp. Regional Inpatient Care Center, Diamond Street, Elkins, W.Va. Schoonover – Stemple Funeral Chapel is entrusted with arrangements.
