Clifford Junior Daniels, 91, a former resident of Mill Creek, and more recently, a resident of Elkins Rehabilitation and Care Center, passed from this life Wednesday morning, August 14, 2019, at the nursing home and under the care of West Virginia Caring.

Clifford was born Saturday, May 26, 1928, in Cassity, a son of the late Joseph Daniels and Sylvia Gould Daniels. On August 5, 1956, he was married to the former Doris Leah Jenkins, who preceded him in death May 28, 2005.

Left to cherish Clifford’s memory are three children, Sandy Wegman and husband, John, Charles “Chuck” Daniels and wife, Kathy, and Cindy Swecker and companion, Jerry Zickefoose, all of Mill Creek, three brothers, Troy Daniels of Mill Creek, Inoal Daniels of Dailey, and Henry Daniels of Mabie, four grandchildren, Sam Wegman and wife, Marilyn, Victoria Fuston and husband, Brian, Christopher “Jeremy” Daniels and companion Pierre Rozan, and Terra Daniels-Hogston, four great-grandchildren, Jesslynn Hogston, Kaylen Hogston, Chantal Wegman and Jonathan Wegman, and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Clifford in death was one sister, Evelyn Zirkle.

Clifford attended the schools of Randolph County and served with the US Army during Korea. He had worked as a coal miner with Bethlehem Steel which he enjoyed. He was an avid outdoorsman and hunter. He loved owning, riding and working with his horses.

Visitation will be held at the Randolph Funeral Home on Friday, August 16, 2019, from 3 pm until 4 pm, the funeral hour. Rev. Randy Long will officiate and interment will follow in Jerusalem Cemetery on the Adolph Road.
