Cornelia Ann “Connie” Wolford, 74, a resident of Valley Bend, passed from this life Friday, May 15, 2015 at home. Connie was born Saturday, April 5, 1941 in Cassity, a daughter of the late Jasper Wolford and Edith Chewning Wolford. Left to cherish Connie’s memory is one brother, Keith Wolford and extended family. Preceding her in death besides her parents were two brothers, Earl and Glen Wolford. Connie was a 1959 graduate of Coalton High School and was employed at the Randolph County Extension Office for 35 years. She was a charter member and served as president of Chi Epsilon Sigma Delta Chapter of the WVU Extension Service Staff Association. She served on the board of directors of the Randolph County Farm Bureau, was an officer of the Randolph/tucker Livestock Marketing Association, and was a member of the West Virginia 4-h All-stars. Connie was a member of the Valley Bend United Methodist Church. Connie’s request for cremation will be honored. A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 21, 2015 at the Valley Bend United Methodist Church at 5:00P.
