Cornelia J. Vance 1925-2002 Obituary

Cornelia J. Vance, 77, a resident of Cortland, Ohio, died at 10:17 a.m. Friday, Aug. 23, 2002, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren, Ohio. Death was attributed to kidney failure.

She was born Feb. 25, 1925, in Whitmer, the daughter of Odith White and Effel Kisamore.

On Nov. 3, 1945, she married Carl R. Vance, who preceded her in death on Nov. 20, 1991.

Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Dannie G. and Cindy Vance, Farmdale, Ohio; one daughter and son-in-law, Diana J. and William Pishotti, Cortland, Ohio; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; one brother, Odith White, Elkins; one sister, Wilda Tingler, Whitmer.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Donald Lee, Junior G. and Talbot White.

Mrs. Vance was a homemaker and was a member of North Mar Christian Missionary Alliance Church and enjoyed her involvement in the Prime Timers of the church. She sang in the community Messiah for 17 years and enjoyed gardening, cooking, walking and her grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at the North Mar Christian Missionary Alliance Church and on Monday for one hour prior to the 11 a.m. funeral service. Interment will be at the Hillside Cemetery in Cortland. Memorial donations may be made to the church at 3855 E. Market St., Warren, Ohio, 44484. The Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, 533 N.
