Dale Scott Terwilliger, 41, a resident of the Norton community, departed this life Friday, July 4, 2003, at his cabin at Huttonsville. Death was attributed to injuries sustained as a result of a house fire.

He was born Sunday, April 29, 1962, at Hawaii, a son of Daniel Terwilliger and Rita Corswell Terwilliger, Tucson, Ariz.

On Dec. 16, 1996, he was married to the former Lydia Susan Shultz, who survives.

Also surviving are one stepson, James Allen Amie Jr., Buckhannon; three stepdaughters, Margaret Amie and Julie Ferguson, both of Elkins, and Crystal Dawn Collar, Parsons; one brother, Daniel Terwilliger Jr., California; two sisters, Lois Brehell, South Carolina, Betty Odham, Fredericksburg, Va.; and four stepgrandchildren, Ave Marie Collar, Trista Cheyenne Collar, Geoffrey Shane Ferguson and Olivia Paige Ferguson.

He attended the schools at Fredericksburg, Va., had worked for Asplundh Tree Co. and Davey Tree Co. and was a foreman for Nelson Tree Service. He was a member of the Aerie 3772, Fraternal Order of Eagles, and attended the Sycamore Grove Church at Bull Run.

Cremation services were provided by the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., at which time a memorial service will be held with the Rev. Pat Cassidy officiating.
