Darien Scott Hunt, infant son of David Alan and Sharon Kay Mitchell Hunt of Route 3, Philippi, died at 12:45 a.m. Friday, June 14, 2002, in the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
He was born June 10, 2002, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon.
Surviving are one brother, Jeremy D. Hunt, at home; paternal grandparents, Denver and Wilma Lightner Hunt, Route 1, Moatsville; maternal grandparents, Richard “Dick” and Lurae “June” Poe Mitchell, Clemtown; and paternal great-grandmother, Opal Hunt, Carrolltown Road.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Ashley N. Hunt.
Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home, 216 N. Walnut St., Philippi, after 2 p.m. Sunday. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Roy Cogar and the Rev. Bob Nichols officiating. Interment will follow in the Hunt Memorial Cemetery.
