David Willard Bennett 1948-2021 Obituary
David Willard Bennett, 72, a resident of Parsons, passed from this life Sunday, April 18, 2021, at his home surrounded by family and under the care of West Virginia Caring.
David was born Thursday, July 1, 1948, in Parsons, a son of the late Voyd Willard Bennett and Reta Summerfield Bennett.
Left to cherish David’s memory is his companion, Louise Poling of Parsons, one son, David Bennett and wife Beverly, of Parsons, one daughter, Regina Lewis and husband, Kenny, of Keyser, four sisters, Doris Sue Martin, Ann Bennett, Nancy Oldaker, and Linda Faye Alvord, five grandchildren, Wesley, Brandon, Katie, Heather, and Brittney, twelve great-grandchildren, his companion’s son, Rick Poling of Culpepper, VA, and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding David in death besides his parents was a sister, Barbara Rhodes and a brother, Tom “Wouch” Bennett.
David attended the schools of Tucker County. He was a well-known, self-employed mason and brick layer for many years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
David’s request for cremation was honored. A private service will be held at a later date.
