Deborah Lee Potts Howell 1950-2002 Obituary

Deborah Lee Potts Howell, 52, a resident of Spruce Street, Parsons, departed this life early Monday morning, Oct. 7, 2002, in Davis Memorial Hospital, after being admitted on Saturday. Death was attributed to a stroke.

She was born Jan. 17, 1950, at Steubenville, Ohio, a daughter of the late Fletcher Browning Potts and Dorothy Mae Ensell Potts and her stepmother, Betty Potts, Steubenville, Ohio.

On July 2, 1973, at Winchester, Va., she married David Leon Howell, who survives.

Also surviving are two sons, David Aaron Howell and wife, Lora, St. George, and Michael Browning Howell, Parsons; four daughters, Bobbi Lynn Clarke, Ohio, Nicol Sue DiBartolomeo and husband, Anthony, Hendricks, Deana Lee Bates and husband, Michael, Montrose, and Dawn Renae Howell, Parsons; two stepdaughters, Shari Lynne Paris and husband, Paul, Follansbee, and Beth Ann Gallahan, Weirton; three stepbrothers, two stepsisters, nine grandchildren, eight stepgrandchildren and two stepgreat-grandchildren.

She attended the Big Red High School at Steubenville, Ohio. She was a former employee of McDonalds and at the time of her death she was an employee of Sheets of Parsons. She attended the Parsons Church of God. She had a great love for animals and Christian music.

The family will receive friends today from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Barb & Greenlief Funeral Home in Parsons. Final rites will be conducted from the funeral home parlor Wednesday at 2 p.m. Pastor Eli Hostetler will officiate and interment will follow at Parsons City Cemetery, Parsons. F
