Denver H. Tenney, 68, of 284 Garton Ave., Weston, died Tuesday, July 1, 2003, at his home.

He was born Dec. 19, 1934, in Kedron, a son of the late William Hoy and Lula Ostroske Tenney.

On Nov. 21, 1971, he married Catherine Tenney, who survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Marty William Tenney, Clarksburg, and John Joseph Tenney, Weston; one brother, Eddie Light, Dearing, Ga.; three sisters, Juanita Barb, Cleveland, Ohio, Pauline Dunn, Philippi, and Donna Currence, Buckhannon; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Eldora Brown and Bonnie Viers; one brother, Dallas Tenney; and stepmother, Goldie Lorena Tenney.

He was a truck driver. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam and Korean wars. He was a Methodist by faith.

Friends will be received at Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home today from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel Friday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Conrad Tenney officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Church Cemetery at Ellamore. From 3 Jul 2003.
