DENVER MACK STANLEY KNOTTS, JR. age 65 years, a resident of the Holly Meadows Community, Parsons, WV, departed this life Tuesday morning, July 5, 2011 at the Davis Memorial Hospital at Elkins, WV. Death was attributed to Leukemia.

He was born Monday, November 5, 1945 at Parsons, WV, a son of the late Denver Knotts, Sr. and Leota Plum Knotts Parsons, who survives. On May 29, 1965 at Parsons, WV, he was married to the former Linda Lee Isner, who survives. They where high school sweethearts for five years and they had celebrated forty six years of marriage.

Also surviving are one son, Matthew Stanley Knotts and wife Margaret of Springfield, VA; one daughter, Melinda Lyn Lipscomb and husband Roy of Holly Meadows; three brothers, Danny Knotts and wife Roberta of Holly Meadows, Ricky Knotts of Horseshoe Run and Eddie Knotts and wife Debbie of Sugarlands; six sisters, Linda Falls and husband Lee and Gloria “Cookie” Frame and husband Marshall, all of Horseshoe Run, Janet Nestor and husband Gary of Hambleton, twins; Rhonda Cavalier of Leadmine, Wanda Bohon of St. George, and Cheryl Maxwell of Parsons; three grandchildren, Jessica and Michael Knotts and Ashley Lipscomb

Preceding him in death are one sister, Carol Poster.

He was a graduate of Parsons High School with the Class of 1964. He was an employee of the former Mullenax Lumber Co., and the former Parsons Tannery. He was a coal miner working for the Island Creek Coal Company, retiring in 2001. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. He was an avid outdoorsman and he was known as an antique tractor and antique car restoration enthusiast.

The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons on Friday from 5:30 to 8 PM. Final rites will be conducted at the funeral home parlor on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at 11:30AM. Pastor Allen Dale Crosten will officiate and interment will follow at the Mt. State Memorial Gardens at Gilman.
