OBITUARY: DESSIE ESSIE WATSON Dessie Essie Watson, 83, of Beech Ave., Junior, died Monday evening, October 11, in the Davis Memorial Hospital, Elkins. She had been in her usual health and her death was unexpected. She was born March 30, 1927, at Oakland, Md., a daughter of the late William “Bink” and Jennie (Arbogast) Fansler. In January 1944, she was married to Thurman Watson, who preceded her in death on June 1, 1982. Survivors include five daughters, Brenda Delauder and Janet Shifflett, both of Junior, Edna Trail, Marion, S.C., Wilma Spencer, Broadway, Va., Barbara Thompson, Belington; four sons, Harvey Watson, Harrisonburg, Va., Roger Watson, Belington, Danny Watson and Ricky Watson, both of Junior; one sister, Rosalie Brooks, Belington; 39 grandchildren, 72 great grandchildren and 21 great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Don Wayne Watson and Delmas Watson; by one daughter, Mary Jane Hosey; by three sisters, Dollie Waybright, Opal Rosier and Rachel Woods; by four brothers, Harvey Fansler, Charlie Fansler, Ralph Fansler and Billy Fansler; and by three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Mrs. Watson was a homemaker and was Protestant by faith. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, October 15, from the Schoonover – Stemple Funeral Chapel, 609 Crim Avenue, Belington. The Rev. A. H. Belt will officiate and interment will follow in the Mountain State Memorial Gardens at Gilman. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6:00 until 9:00 P.M. on Thursday and from 9:00 A. M. until 2:00 P.M., the funeral hour, on Friday. Schoonover – Stemple Funeral Chapel is entrusted with arrangements.
