Dorsey Lee Harvey, 80, of Tornado, WV, passed away at 12:04am, Thursday, August 3, 2017 at the Hubbard Hospice House West in Charleston, WV. He was born in Grafton, April 7, 1937, a son of the late Ottie Fay and Hazel Fay Jarvis Harvey.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Joyce Romsburg Harvey. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann Wolfe Harvey, whom he married, April 9, 1982.

Also surviving are his children, Suzanne Simmons and her husband Mark, Greenbrier County, Rick Lilly and his wife Debbie Ann, Clarksburg, Catherine Bostic and her husband Ken, Charleston, his grandchildren, Justin Simmons and his wife Jeanine, Chapel Hill, NC, Joseph Simmons and his fiancé Missy, White Sulphur Springs, Joshua Simmons and his wife Autumn, St. Albans, John Lilly and his wife Kayla, Fairview, Kendyl and Kayley Bostic, both of Charleston, two great-grandchildren, Riley and Avery Simmons, one brother, George Harvey, Hepzibah, three sisters, Rose Ann Jarvis and her husband Bernard, Virginia Beach, VA, Shirley Miller, Stonewood, and Brenda Jewel Harvey, Salem, and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Ellsworth Harvey and one sister, Marion Harvey.

Mr. Harvey was a veteran having served in Germany during the Vietnam War with the United States Army. He served with the 964th Engineering Group who still kept in touch with one another through the years. In 1999, he retired from Pratt & Whitney where he was an aircraft mechanic. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion, Post 68, Bridgeport and the Meuse-Argonne VFW Post 573, Clarksburg. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, and woodworking.

A graveside service will be held at the Shinnston Memorial Cemetery, at 11am, Saturday, August 12, with his grandsons Justin Simmons and John Lilly officiating. Full military graveside rites will be accorded by the U. S. Army and the Harrison County Honor Guard.
