Edward Felix Trusky, 83, a resident of Route 1, Wellington Heights, Philippi, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2003, in the Broaddus Hospital emergency room.

He was born May 30, 1921, in Morgantown, the son of the late Anthony and Bell Garlow Trusky.

He was united in marriage on June 2, 1943, to Dorothy Lee McMurdo Trusky, who preceded him in death on Oct. 11, 1988.

Surviving are two daughters and one son-in-law, Joyce Ray and husband, Robert, of Beckley, and Yvonne Trusky of Philippi; one son, Larry Trusky of Akron, Ohio; six sisters, Victoria Trusky, Diana Imlay, Helen Reed and Judy Patterson, all of Clinton, Ohio, and Nedra Head and Sophia Sobitz, both of Akron, Ohio; two brothers, Victor Trusky of Barberton, Ohio and Frank Trusky of Akron, Ohio; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one canine companion, Gizmo.

He was preceded in death by Julian Trusky, Lilian Mantz and Jerry Wiesner.

He was a retired coal miner from Badger Coal Co. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was a Protestant by faith.

Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home, 216, N. Walnut St., Philippi, after 5 p.m. today and until 2 p.m. Saturday, the service hour, with Pastor Bryan Headley officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery with American Legion Post 44 conducting military rites. Wright Funeral Home services is in charge of arrangements. From 12 Dec 2003.
