Edward Jerome Posey, 49, a resident of Maple Avenue, passed away unexpectedly April 29, 2013, at his residence.
He was born June 26, 1963, at Cambridge, Ohio, a son of the late Byrel E. Posey and Margie L. Jenkins Posey, who survives.
He was united in marriage Nov. 5, 2005, to Tammy K. Johnson Posey, who survives.
Also surviving are three children, Ashley Triplett and companion, Bucky Stutler, April Anglin and companion, James Beavers, and Gregganna Anglin all of Philippi; one sister, Marilyn Posey of Philippi; one brother, Richard Posey and wife, Beverly, of Century No. 1; one grandson, Coalton Stutler; and two stepgrandchildren, Brianna and Brayson Beavers
Mr. Posey was preceded in death by two sisters.
He worked as a cashier for Rich Oil Co. and was a deliveryman for DHL and Fedex.
Mr. Posey was an avid outdoorsman; he enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, gardening and hunting for mushrooms. He was a Baptist by faith.
Friends will be received at Wright Funeral Home, 216 N. Walnut St. in Philippi today from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday, May 3, from 8 to 11 a.m., the service hour, with the Rev. Downing Gregory officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery.
