Elizabeth Dailey Morgan, 78, of French Creek, the Evergreen Alton Road, died Wednesday, April 10, 2002, in St. Joseph’s Hospital.

She was born Nov. 12, 1923, in Buckhannon, the eldest daughter of the late Judge A. Jerome and Leda A. Burr Dailey.

In 1950, she married H. Hayden Morgan, who survives.

Also surviving besides her husband are three daughters, Barbara E. Morgan, New York City, N.Y., Amy L. Morgan, North Huntingdon, Pa., and Megan A. Morgan, Adrian; one grandchild, Joseph M. Schiff, Adrian; and one sister, Martha Jane Dailey, San Luis Obispo, Calif.

She taught at Easton Maryland High School and Miss Ellis’ School for Girls in Pittsburgh. She received her bachelor of arts degree from West Virginia Wesleyan College and completed her master’s degree studies in English Literature and history at Columbia University.

Her body will be cremated and a private service will be held at a later date. The family request no flowers or donations, please.
