Emma Louise Wagner Bush, 79, formerly of Elkins, died Thursday, June 26, 2003, in the Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, after a short illness.

Mrs. Bush was born June 14, 1924, in Huntington, Pa., a daughter of the late Frank and Hazel Krepps Wagner.

She was a member of the Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church at Elkins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Neill Bush, DVM in 1991; and a sister, Mary Catherine Hoffman.

She graduated from Sibley Nursing School, Washington, D.C., and was a very artistic person who won numerous awards for her needlepoint.

She also loved to travel and was an avid bridge player.

She was a devoted mother of four daughters, Penelope A. Compton and her husband, Neil, of Chicago, Ill., Marjorie L. Bush, MD, and Deborah L. Bush, both of Steubenville, Ohio, and Carolyn N. Bush of Alexandria, Va.; a brother, James Wagner and wife, Joan, of Athens, Ga.; two sisters-in-law, Thelma Blood “Bill” of Titusville, Pa., and Cecil Darling of Verona, N.Y.

There will be no visitation. Memorial services will be held at Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church July 12 at 11 a.m.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Kepner Funeral Home, National Road at Bethany Pike, Wheeling.

Memorial contributions may be made to the After-school Program in care of The Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church, 450 Randolph Ave., Elkins, W.Va. 26241 and the YMCA of Wheeling.
