Eula Haas Gay 1910-2002 Obituary

Eula Haas Gay, 92, of Elkins Convalescent Home, Elkins, died Friday, Sept. 13, 2002, at the home.

She was born April 28, 1910, at Lost River, a daughter of the late Clarence and Bessie Bowman Haas.

She married Paul Lightner Gay Sr., who preceded her in death.

Surviving are one daughter, Margaret Gay, Buckhannon; one daughter-in-law, Shirley Post Gay, Bramwell; one sister, Mildred Branson, New Market, Va.; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by one son, Paul Lightner Gay Jr.; and one brother, Welton Haas.

Mrs. Gay was a resident manager of 2400 Pennsylvania Ave., North West, Washington, D.C. She was a member of the Order Eastern Star of Harrisonburg, Va., was very active in the Democratic Party and a member of Wesley Sunday School class. She was a member of the Lois Circle of United Methodist Women at the First United Methodist Church of Buckhannon.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Poling-st. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
