Eva B. Bryan 1918-2002 Obituary

Eva B. Bryan, 83, of 307 Maple Ave., Philippi, died at 1:55 a.m. Friday, Feb. 1, 2002, in the Davis Memorial Hospital.

She was born Sept. 5, 1918, at Philippi, a daughter of the late Hubert Paul and Margie Baker Robertson.

She married Darl Bryan, who preceded her in death in 1985.

Surviving are one son, the Rev. Daniel Bryan and wife, the Rev. Pamala Shuman, Elkins; two sisters, Roselee Lewis, Philippi, and Twila Cutler, Luray, Va.; one brother, Robert Robertson, York, Pa.; and five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Crane, a grandchild and a brother, Leonard Paul Robertson.

Mrs. Bryan was a secretary and a clerk for the Barbour County Selective Service Draft Board for 25 years and a secretary for the Crim Memorial United Methodist Church for 15 years.

She was a member of the Barbour County Sportsman Club and the Crim Memorial United Methodist Church.

Funeral Arrangements: Friends will be received today from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Wright Funeral Home in Philippi. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Alicia Rapking and the Rev. Marvin Carr officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Crim Memorial United Methodist Church or the Woodford Memorial, 113 First St, Elkins, W.Va. 26241.
