Everett “Joe” Bennett, 43, of Biloxi, Miss., died Thursday, April 17, 2003, in Biloxi, Miss.

He was born in Baltimore, Md., a son of Joan Bennett of St. Martin Community and the late Everett “Joe” Bennett Sr.

Also surviving are two sisters, Elizabeth Tarpein of Palm Bay, Fla., and Susan Bennett of Waukegan, Ill.

He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Sherman and Ruth Bennett.

He had been a resident of the coast since 1973. He was a 1977 graduate of St. Martin High School. He was a member and deacon of Lemoyne Boulevard Baptist Church.

Friends were received at Lemoyne Boulevard Baptist Church Monday from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m., the funeral hour. Interment followed in D’Iberville Memorial Park. Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi, Miss., was in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Bennett was a native of Baltimore, Md. and a resident of the coast since 1973.

He was a graduate of St. Martin High School in 1977 and was a member and deacon of Lemoyne Boulevard Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Everett “Joe” Bennett Sr.
Survivors include his mother, Joan Bennett of St. Martin Community; and two sisters, Elizabeth Tarpein of Palm Bay, Fla. and Susan Bennett of Waukegan, Ill.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at Lemoyne Boulevard Baptist Church with services to follow at 2 p.m. Burial will be in D’Iberville Memorial Park.

The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
