Forrest B. Anderson, age 85, of French Creek, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at the United Hospital Center in Bridgeport after a brief illness. He was born on April 26, 1936, in Webster County, a son of the late Willie and Nora Jordan Anderson. On December 20, 1961, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Phyllis G. Lunceford Anderson, who preceded him in death on August 28, 2014. In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by one sister Gloria Lanton and one brother Perry Anderson. He is survived by one daughter Pam and husband Bob Wilson; one granddaughter Linzy Wilson; one brother Billy Anderson of Ocala, FL; and many nephews, nieces, family, and friends.

Forrest was a merchant by trade, having operated three stores (two in Webster County, and one more recently in French Creek, “Anderson’s Sporting Goods”, that he ran with his family from 1977-2001. He was an avid outdoorsman, and loved to turkey hunt, deer hunt, fish, and hunt for mushrooms. He also loved growing a garden and raising chickens. He was a member of the Rock Cave Independent Baptist Church.

A graveside service and interment will be held on Friday, March 11, 2022, at 2:00 PM, at the French Creek Memorial Gardens, with Pastor David Jessie officiating.
