Forrest Lee Tracey, 77, of Aurora, passed away at 6:20 p.m. Monday, Sept. 15, 2003, at his residence.

He was born July 27, 1926, at Marlinton, the son of the late William Franklin and Grace Ellen Mace Tracey.

On Jan. 3, 1950, he married the former Ruth Frances Sharp, who survives at Aurora.

Also surviving are three sons, Lloyd Lee Tracey and wife, Mary Lou, of Wilsonburg, David Eugene Tracey of Aurora, Terry Lynn Tracey and wife, Patsy Lynn, of Aurora; one brother, Amon Lowell Tracey of Slatyfork; and a sister, Virginia Ellen Crowder of West Chester, Pa.

Six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren also survive.

Preceding him in death were three brothers, John Wallace Tracey, Lyle Eugene Tracey and Roy Elwood Tracey; and three sisters, Shirley Jean Sharp, Joella Maxine Simmons and Mary Margaret Tracey.

Mr. Tracey was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, served during World War II and reached the rank of third class petty officer.

He worked as a heavy equipment operator with the International Union Operating Engineers Local 132 of Clarksburg for 32 years.

He was a Methodist by faith.

Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Dr. Ellis E. Conley officiating. Interment will follow in the Mingo Cemetery. Members of H.W. Daniels Post 29 American Legion will present the American flag. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care Corp., PO Box 760, Arthurdale, W.Va. 26520 in memory of Mr. Tracey. The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Forrest Lee Tracey. From 17 Sep 2003.
