Frances Ann “Lovie” Phillips Dagnon, age 56 years, a resident of Montrose, WV departed this life late Tuesday evening, June 22, 2021, at the West Penn Hospital at Pittsburgh, PA with her family at her side. She had been in declining health for the past month.
She was born Friday, May 14, 1965, at Baltimore, MD, a daughter of the late Keith Dale and Gaynell Gail Hart Phillips. On February 14, 2014, at Oakland, MD, she was married to Wendy Lynn Dagnon, who survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Malinda Carr of Marlinton; three sons, Dillon Carr and wife Vickie of Dry Fork, Marco Morrone and wife Brittany of WI, and Nico Morrone and wife Jessica of WI; two sisters, Debra Darlene James and husband Darrell of Jane Lew and Wanda Shiflett and husband Timothy of Jimtown; five grandchildren, Bella and Zada Carr, Julian, Logan and Carter Morrone; and three special friends, Alisha Skinner, Laura Lane and Anna Fechner; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death is one son, infant Tony Phillips; and two brother, Pete Phillips, and Kenneth Lee Phillips, Sr.
She attended the schools of Tucker County. She was a loving mother and housewife. She worked at the Subway in Elkins for several years. She enjoyed using her artistic ability painting saw blades, woodworking and making keepsake boxes. She always had to stay busy and enjoyed outside yardwork.
Frances’s request for cremation was honored. The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons on Monday, June 28, 2021, from 4 PM to 5 PM. On Monday at 5 PM, at the funeral home, a Memorial Service will be held with Pastor Paula Lowther officiating.
