Frankie Wayne McDonald, 38, a resident of Rig, passed away at 3:46 p.m. Sunday, June 23, 2002, in Grant Memorial Hospital. Death was attributed to accidental drowning.

He was born Dec. 27, 1963, in Randolph County, a son of the late Lester Ford McDonald and Catherine “Kate” Keyes McDonald Taylor.

Surviving are one daughter, Carrie Ann McDonald of Rig; two sons, Frankie Joe McDonald of Rig, and Jonathon Wayne McDonald of Petersburg; one sister, Mrs. Willard (Linda) Herron of Mill Creek; five brothers, Larry F. McDonald and wife, Janice, of Dundalk, Md., Leonard F. McDonald and wife, Terry, and Robert Russell McDonald, both of Moorefield, Albert T. McDonald and wife, Jodie, of Petersburg, and Charles Ray McDonald of Rig; and three half brothers, Robert E. Taylor and wife, Marilyn, of Dorcas, Edwin Mac Taylor of Augusta, and Jerry Paul Taylor and wife, Dreama, of Jordan Run.

Preceding him in death besides his parents were one sister, Nellie “Lucy” McDonald Taylor; and two brothers, Gordon Lee and Henry Donald McDonald.

He worked at the Pilgrim’s Pride in Moorefield in the Live Haul Division. He was a Protestant by faith.

Friends will be received at F.E. Runner Funeral Home today after 7 p.m. On Thursday, he will be moved to Mill Creek Memorial Mission Church in Mill Creek for visitation from 11 a.m. until noon, the funeral hour.

The Rev. Frank Long, pastor of the church, and the Rev. Ralph Summerfield, pastor of the Blue Rock Union Mission Church, will officiate.

Interment will follow in Brick Church Cemetery at Huttonsville.
