Frederick H. Mueller, 74, a resident of Junior, passed from this life Tuesday evening, January 21, 2014, at home with his family at his side. Fred was born Saturday, March 11, 1939 in Buffalo, NY, a son of the late Frederick A. and Hildegard Klein Mueller. On September 28, 2000 in Carlsbad, New Mexcio, he married the former Barbara Johnston who survives. Also left to cherish Fred’s memory are four children, Sharon Marrs and husband Mark of Ripley, Brenda Crump of Houston, TX, John Mueller and wife Amy of Junior, Joe Mueller and wife Charlotte of Elkins, two step sons, Todd and Phillip Johnston of Charlotte, NC, one brother Richard Mueller of Columbia, SC. Fred was a proud grandfather of Stephen and his wife Erin of Elkins, Daniel of Wallkill, NY, Sara Littefield and husband Jamie of Buckhannon, Rebecca Marrs of Charleston and Karen Crump of Houston, TX. Preceding Fred in death besides his parents was his wife Celeste in 1997, one brother Robert and one sister Linda. Fred owned and operated Computer Support Group in Elkins until his retirement. He was well known as a minister of Jehovah’s Witnesses, devoting many hours preaching and teaching the bible in the Elkins area. He and his wife Barbara also spent 3 years in Mexico sharing their bible based hope. Fred’s disease robbed him of a lot of things but never his sense of humor or the love of his family and friends. A lot could be said about Fred but, simply put, “he was a very good man, who was a problem solver and genuine leader.” Fred looked forward to seeing the bible promise at Revelation 21: 3,4 fulfilled: “With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” In keeping with his family’s wishes, cremation was honored. A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Elkins Sunday, January 26, 2014 at 4:00PM.
