G. Geraldine “Gerry” Dawson Isner, 90, a resident of Porterwood, passed from this life Sunday afternoon, November 4, 2012 at Davis Memorial Hospital. She was born Saturday, August 26, 1922 at Farmington, a daughter of the late William Perry Dawson and Pearl Belva Nestor Dawson. During 1954 at Red House, MD, she married Frank “Chalser” Isner, who preceded her in death September 7, 1985. Gerry is also survived by a son, Robert Glen Isner of Porterwood, one sister, Nellie Glasscock of Farmington, a special niece, Judy Jolly, a special friend, Vonda Phillips, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Glen Dawson and Charles Dawson, and two sisters, Naomi Parrish and Orpha Ullom. Gerry was a graduate of Farmington High School with the class of 1941, and had worked for Westinghouse in Fairmont and Parsons Footwear as a quality control inspector. She was a very religious person that loved to go to church having served as Missionary President with the Parsons Church of the Nazarene and was a member of the Parsons Church of God. Gerry enjoyed singing with the Goldenaires Senior Choir. She loved to work crossword puzzles and cook, and she lived her life to the fullest enjoying every day. Visitation will be held at the Summerfield Funeral Home of Parsons on Saturday from 5 until 8PM. Funeral services will be held from the funeral home chapel on Sunday, November 11, 2012 at 1:30PM. The Reverend Eli Hostetler and Reverend David Snyder will officiate and interment will follow at the Parsons City Cemetery.
